We’ve been going to BSF and are studying the life of Moses. I’m always not quite sure how much Trey is absorbing, but usually he’s able to give me at least one coherent sentence about the Bible story of the day.

Tonight, he started singing an old gospel song, “Go down, Moses”:

Go down, Moses, way down in Egypt’s LAMB, TARO, Pharoah, Let my people go!

The other day over Skype, Lao Ye (Grandpa) asked Trey if he wanted to go to Seattle, seducing him with yogurt-covered pretzels and time-out/spanking-free bliss. Trey very quickly agreed and started saying his goodbyes, “Bye, Mom! Bye, Sean!”. Next thing I know, he’s gotten new shorts out of the drawer, his shoes on (it usually takes FOREVER to get ready), and is jiggling the doorknob. “Mom, do I need keys? Maybe you should give me some keys.”

Hilarious. In the meantime, Sean is frantically grabbing his shoes while I explain to Trey that he can’t go to Seattle by himself. I wonder what would’ve happened if I just let Trey continue on. He probably would’ve ended up stuck in the elevator since he can’t quite reach any of the buttons inside.

Kaly Grace Crawford

Early this morning, as she was being held by her mommy, Kaly went to
see Jesus. While we are a little weepy, we are mostly just so thankful
for the eight hours that we had with her (the doctors didn’t expect
her to live past birth, and she actually lived to the next day).

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. We are surprised
by how thankful we feel, and that of course is entirely because of
God’s grace.

Last Friday, we attempted to wait in line at the main box office for the last round of tickets. Got there at 6 am and found a mob. Apparently people had been camping out for 3 days, and around dawn that day, people charged the barricades, and what was once a line became this mob. After deliberating for about 10-15 minutes, T decided we should leave for our own safety.

So we ended up waiting in line at a different venue for beach volleyball tickets — and it was the picture of order compared to the main box office. And after 5 hours in the scorching heat — SUCCESS!

(note that the police tape is being held up by people, not poles or cones)
